Missions and Outreach

"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." - Acts 1:8

In Acts 1:8, Jesus Christ commanded His disciples to share His Good News with the world. Likewise, as disciples of Christ, we in the church carry the same responsibility to serve as His witnesses to a lost world.

Global Outreach

Global Outreach is LBBF's mission strategy to reach this generation with the eternal abundant life offered through salvation in Jesus Christ. Structured according to Acts 1:8, Global Outreach provides a framework to rally all members and ministries of the church toward one common purpose - sharing Christ in our community, state, nation, and world.

Jerusalem

LBBF reaches out to the local community through Salt the Planet Outreach, October Harvest Festival, Vacation Bible School, Visitation and Youth Outreach events.

Judea

LBBF contributes to the Southern Baptist Cooperative Program in its efforts to bring the Gospel to California, and North America. LBBF has several mission projects this year to participate in. Projects include a vision trip to Panama, a family friendly mission project in Baja, outreach to Muslims in Garden Grove, and a project in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Ends Of The Earth

LBBF cooperates with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention through giving, in its efforts to bring the Gospel to the ends of the earth. This year LBBF will be sending a team to Tanzania on a vision trip.

“If you see missions as just another menu item in the great cafeteria of church programs, you have made the Great Commission an option. The Great Commission is not an option - it is the mission of the church!”
Johnny Hunt, Pastor First Baptist Church, Woodstock, GA.

There are currently 6,426 unreached people groups -
meaning less than 2% of the population are evangelical Christians or we know of no church planting strategy among the group.  They have truly never heard the gospel of Jesus Christ!
