Doctrinal Statement
At Las Brisas Bible Fellowship, we encourage a level of doctrinal tolerance. We realize that there are differing biblical positions on non-essential issues of doctrine. These issues are still very important but should not be a source of division in Christ's church. This page contains the essential truths that cannot be compromised and are fundamental for fellowship and ministry within the LBBF body.
|
Essential Truths
- We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
- We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling every Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
|
- We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, complete and authoritative Word of God.
- We believe that all men are hopelessly lost sinners and must turn to Christ in saving faith and repentance through regeneration by the Holy Spirit, being drawn solely by God's grace.
- We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved to eternal life with Christ and the lost to eternal punishment in hell.
|
We hold these truths to be distinctive of Baptists and churches of like faith and order:
|
The Deity and Lordship of Jesus Christ
- Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God and the second part of the triune Godhead.
- Philippians 2:5-11
The Absolute Necessity of the New Birth

- A new birth experience is a prerequisite to church membership.
